Creosote buildup in wood-burning fireplaces
Why it happens here
Many Berhampore homes rely on wood heat, and burning wood logs produces creosote. The hilly, windy conditions can cause incomplete combustion, which leads to faster buildup. Older chimneys with rough flue liners also collect creosote more quickly.
Our approach
We use rotary chimney brushes and Sooteater tools to remove creosote from the flue liner. We also check the smoke chamber and firebox. If buildup is severe, we may recommend a chemical creosote remover like Meeco's Red Devil.
